Sobrato Softball Pre-Season Info Softball players and families,
We are eagerly preparing for another exciting fastpitch softball season here at Sobrato! Below is a summary of near-term, key dates as we head toward tryouts…along with links to our JV and Varsity websites where you can find the full season schedule for each team.
Key Dates
Tue, Dec 15th: Start workout/conditioning window (extends thru Jan 29th
Thu, Dec 17th: End of 1st semester; Grades determine spring eligibility!
Wed, Jan 6th: Tryout signups / Kickoff meeting (3:45pm, Lecture Hall)
Fri, Jan 29th: Medical release due
Mon, Feb 1st: Start tryouts

Workout/Conditioning Sessions
CCS rules limits when we can offer sessions, and some of our coaches are still completing required training. Sometime over the next month, I will send out a schedule to include:
- Conditioning sessions open to all players where they will exercise in a fun/competitive environment
- Open workout for all players where coaches will setup equipment, but can only supervise (no individual or team coaching)
- 4-player practice session where coaches can work with a group of 2-4 players for specialized coaching sessions (by appt only)
Medical Clearances
For returning players or those already in a fall sport, you know the drill…player physicals and clearance with the ASB office must be completed prior to tryouts. Please don’t delay…the clearance will last for a full calendar year from when it was approved. Contact the ASB office for more info.
